A Huge Success!

Animal lovers raised more than $675,000 for the Seattle Humane Society at the 21st Annual Tuxes & Tails Gala. 27 local celebrities walked the runway with their own pets and animals available for adoption during the most "barked about" event of the year.

"I'm always impressed by the outpour of generosity from our community," said Brenda Barnette, Chief Executive Officer. "We are grateful for the support of all who attended Tuxes & Tails tonight to have a great time for a great cause!"

The special "Fund A Need" portion of the live auction raised more than $261,000 to support our life-saving Foster Care Program. Last year, 3,001 shelter animals received critical home care from Seattle Humane Society foster care volunteers. Thanks to the generous support of our community at Tuxes & Tails, we hope to give more underage puppies and kittens, moms with litters, senior pets, and pets recovering from medical conditions the time they need to become adoptable. If you weren't able to show your support at Tuxes & Tails this year, consider making a donation to the Foster Care Program here.

Tuxes & Tails was presented by AlphaGraphics. Additional sponsors included Safeway, Jeannie & Bruce Nordstrom, Laird Norton Tyee, Waste Management, LexisNexis, Regence, and Newport Creative.
