What is Tuxes & Tails?

The annual Tuxes & Tails Gala is the Seattle Humane Society’s premier fundraising event. 

Every year, more than 750 animal lovers gather to bid on amazing silent and live auction items in support of the animals in our care.  Guests enjoy a gourmet dinner, delicious wine, and find delight in the night’s finale--a celebrity and adoptable pet fashion show! 

Last year, with the support of our wonderful donors and sponsors, we were able to raise $875,000 - a record year!  The funds raised from the event go directly to providing food, shelter, and veterinary care for the thousands of animals in our care each year. It also supports our low-fee spay/neuter services, our Pet Food Bank for the pets of low-income seniors and Pet Project for the animals of people with AIDS, and many other life-saving programs and services.

Seattle Humane Society is a private shelter and we receive no local, state or federal funding. We rely on the generosity of our community through gifts and grants. Thank you for supporting the animals that come through our doors each and every day.
